bullybeat songwriting workshop On Wednesday 6th November, some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils worked with Nathan and Sarah from the Songwriting Charity to write their own anti-bullying anthem. Have a listen to the track - I think you'll agree it's an absolute triumph! We are very proud of you all - well done Year 5 and 6!

6V have been doing some descriptive writing, imagining they are seagulls, flying over the coastline. Firstly, we want to say a big well done to everyone who has put themselves forward to be a House Captain and produced some fantastic posters etc for their campaign. We know this has been a longer process than usual, but due to the school being closed last week and harvest assembly, we have been delayed by a few days. All potential House Captains will have presented their 'speeches' to the children in their House in KS2 by the end of today and pupils will be able to vote during break and lunch time tomorrow (Tuesday). Pupils will be asked to vote for the ONE candidate that they think would best represent their House. The two pupils in each House with the most votes, regardless of whether they are boys or girls, will be made Captains. The next two runners-up, again regardless of gender, will be made Vice-Captains. This ensures a democratic vote - the pupils in each House vote for the person THEY want to represent them.
Well done to all the Year 6 pupils who have worked so hard in campaigning to be either House Captains or School Councillors!
We have been very impressed with your efforts and look forward to announcing our representatives next week! Remember what Mr Soars always says - win with modesty, lose with dignity!
